The City of Moreno Valley has been named a 2026 Top Workplaces Culture Excellence Award winner for Professional Development, a prestigious national recognition that highlights the City’s commitment to fostering employee growth, training, and career advancement.

The award is based entirely on employee feedback collected through a confidential, research-backed survey administered by Energage, a national leader in workplace engagement and organizational health. The Top Workplaces program has a 19-year history of recognizing people-first organizations across the country that prioritize strong workplace cultures and team member success.

This recognition underscores Moreno Valley’s ongoing investment in its workforce through professional development programs, mentorship opportunities, and continuous learning initiatives that are designed to help employees build meaningful, lasting careers.

“Our employees are the heart of everything we do, and this recognition makes that clearer than ever,” said Mayor Ulises Cabrera. “To be honored based on direct feedback from our team speaks volumes about the culture we’ve built together. We are committed to investing in our people, supporting their growth, valuing their contributions, and ensuring they have the tools they need to succeed. When our employees thrive, our entire community benefits.”

More than 260 City employees participated in the survey, providing valuable insights that helped highlight the strength of Moreno Valley’s workplace culture. The award specifically recognizes organizations that prioritize career development, create clear pathways for advancement, and empower employees through training, certifications, and professional growth opportunities.

Moreno Valley’s achievement reflects its dedication to its core values of collaboration, innovation, and customer service, which guide daily operations and shape a workplace environment where employees feel supported, engaged, and empowered.

As the City continues to build a workplace of the future, this recognition serves as both a celebration of its employees and a commitment to further strengthening the team member experience in the years ahead.
